Subject of the course content:

Dynamic modeling of induction motor (IM) and synchronous motor (SM) in freely chosen frame of reference. Rotor flux vector estimation using the mathematical models. Introduction to the space vector of the voltages, currents and fluxes in the machine. Discrete model of voltage fed inverter with variable structure. Simulation of different types of pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques. Fundamentals of Space Vector Modulation (SVM) technique of the voltage vectors. Analysis and synthesis of the different system of vector control by means of modulus and symmetrical optimization methods. Introduction to the basic principles of IM -Field oriented control of. Direct torque and flux Control method. Modeling and simulation of the predictive vector control methods for IM and SM. Fundamentals of sensorless speed and torque control of variable speed drives (VSD). Industry application of VSD modern control techniques with improved energy efficiency. Modern adaptive PID controllers based on fuzzy logic.
