Subject of the course content: Introduction to regulations and environmental standards, as well as, national and international laws  for environmental protection. Classification of environmental pollutants on the intensity of the impact on soil, water and atmosphere. Possible contaminants of solid waste, liquid waste and emissions into the atmosphere (nitrogen, sulfur oxides and carbon oxides). Greenhouse effect (GHG) and ozone layer of meaning to life on earth. Assessment of needs for external economic costs of introducing technologies to preserve and protect the environment. Sustainable Energy Development (SED) and the main factors for achieving SED measures: use of renewables, energy efficiency and care for the environment. Possibilities and ways for achieving sustainable economic development with respect to the regulations for environmental protection. International regulations and standards regulations to protect the environment. Procedures for classification of projects under the CDM mechanism (Clean Development Mechanism), and the ability to obtain certificates for Annex 1 countries under Kyoto protocol - CER (Certified Emission Reductions). Project activities and project documentation or study for environmental protection as a part of the project.
