Resource management and managing big data sets in real-time networks

COURSE: Resource management and managing big data sets in real-time networks

Code: ФЕИТ00027

ECTS Points: 6 ECTS

Number of classes per week: 3+0+0+3

Lecturer: prof. Dancho Davchev

Subject of the course content:

Robust techniques and tools for high-performance analysis of large data sets. Optimization of network and hardware resources to support advanced solutions for managing large data sets. Algorithms, software architectures and methodologies for interaction, visualization and analysis of data in real time. Tools to support decision making using very large sets of data (structured and unstructured). Data with high rate of growth including 3D, biological, financial, spatial and data from social networks, transport, logistics, telecommunications, digital content and other types of data chains.

Non-traditional databases and solutions for data storage. Integrity and protection of data and support of robust integration and interpretation of data from heterogeneous sources such as static and data chains.

Methods that provide scalability and energy efficiency of operations for analysis of large data sets.

Collaborative and reuse of large and related data sets. Advanced query techniques and query analysis and visualization of data from distributed large order of magnitude (trillion records).

Traceability issues and complex events in real-time tested against millions of data chains that generate hundreds of thousands of events per second. Techniques to ensure adequate QoS.

Connection between the cloud computing and large data sets, and analyzing their mobile applications as the basis for a new type of applications (from anywhere and at any time).
