Course goals/Competences: Acquiring expert's knowledge in designing of Technical documentation for the power system components and election of the electrical equipment

The contents of the Design documentation. Scope and activities specifications in projects. Documentation for Quality Assurance. Time and Project milestones. Project Costs. Technical solutions and calculations. Drawings. Power and Auxiliary systems in power plants and systems (AC/DC, Emergency units). Designing of thermal power plants. Designing of hydro-electric power plants. Design solutions of pump-storage hydro power facilities. Design solutions of Nuclear power plants. Designing of HV, MV and LV switching facilities. Designing of substations. Designing of the lighting, motor drives, earthing and lightning protection.
